Christine Caine - First Things First

Remember Who You Are

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will gives thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well (Psalm 139:13-14, NASB).

At thirty-three years old, my mother told me I was not who I thought I was. I had been adopted. My whole life as I knew it had been founded upon a lie.

In that moment, I had a choice to make. I could either believe the report of my circumstances—that I was unwanted, abandoned, and rejected. Or, I could believe the report of God’s Word—that I was wanted, formed for a specific purpose, and accepted by Him.

I chose to believe God’s Word! Today, I encourage you to do the same! No matter what you face in your life, let His truth be what defines you. We must know who we are in Christ to be able to withstand all this world throws our way. So, today, renew your mind with the revelation of your TRUE identity!
